'Ninja In Red' and other oddities

A load of poetry I had forgotten about salvaged from a dying blog.

Ninja In Red.

I've never seen you looking as lovely as you did tonight,
Never seen your sword so bright,
I've never seen so many men look at your clothes and laugh
They're all gonna be cut in half, because you're awesome.
And I've never seen that head your holding,
Or the blood that's in its hair that splats my eye, I have been blind.

The Ninja in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek
There's nobody left, it's just you and me, It's where I wanna be
But I hardly know, this Ninja by my side
I'll never forget, the way you look tonight

I've never seen you flip out and kill men as you did tonight
I've never seen your Ninja might, you were amazing
I've never seen so many people hacked into liddle bits of hide
And when you garroted me* and smiled, It took my breath away
I have never had such a feeling
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight

The way you look tonight
I never will forget, the way you look tonight
The Ninja in red
The Ninja in red
The Ninja in red
My Ninja in red (whisper) I love you.

Suspicious Lunch (A Cut Up)

We're caught in a trap
we can't build our dreams
go on. together walk out. I can't.
Because I love What you're doing to me too much

Why can't you see.
We can't baby.
What you're doing to me
And.
With suspicious minds
You don't believe a word I say

So, if an old friend I know
On suspicious minds
(Here we go again)
Drops by to say hello
I'm crying

Would I still see suspicion in your eyes?
Asking where I've been
You can't, can't build our dreams

see these tears can't go on together
dry the tears from your eyes
let a good thing die

We are real Let's don't
let our love survive
On suspicious minds

With suspicious minds
And yeah be honey

I've never lied to you

When, you know
Oh
Mmm, yeah

From misted meadow creeping,
Lethargic storks undisturbed.
Reign of terror rising with the sun.

Little House of Savages.

Imported from the Amazon
Two and twenty men:
Ignored the clocks.
Refused to be amazed.
laughed at civilization.

After departure
(they left)
A confused landlord
to vacuum away cut-out paper leaves.

Accident on the A64

Two hour tailback
ended with sickening lurch
Overheating cars
ford a blood-slick road.

Add Another Lemon

That fixed grin
Can't mask the lack of rigor
The recipe handed out
gave no measure
if they come back bitter
(Demanding recompense)
Say 'add another lemon'
leave the audience incensed.

Sew my heart up-

She by-passed my defences
With a chambers dictionary.
A double entendre
4/4 beats in the bar
Where we drank cocktails
As something ectopic
became intrinsic.

(Lost in the Menagerie)

Gormless gurners
In the Aisles of Moreausons.
chimplike gazes
And shifting mazes
of wobbling trolleys

Baying packs
of bargain hunters
growl at sloth.
Herds of the elderly chatter
and inspect mince.

Warmth of a Beating Heart.

Star Jumps and sudden sighs.
Sleep's punctuation.

Irrational beliefs
Stop watching:Stop breathing

Small cold hands.
Warm hearts.

Rising/falling chest.
Becomes a fascination.

Chapel En Le Frith.

On the way to Manchester.
A green sign.
Points.
Beckoning off the motorway.
Quaint sounding.
“One to visit!” I say.
But she never wants to detour.

I entertain myself with thoughts.
Of Rabbit
Gods.
Stretched high across a river.
A burning bridge.
I like to tarry, have fun.
She never wants to detour.

After Hours

Plumed Sauropods
shake their tails
here at the Ossifiers Arms.
Our key optics
give hints
to Charlie's gospel truths.
Whilst the Quetzals knock back
pisco.

I Hate Words.

All the proper nouns
Hiding similies behind their hands
laughing at the Verbs they can't describe

the Adjectives are missing.

Trying to avoid the I
of the text

repetition
gets repetitious

Thesaurii lumber out the bookshelves
To define Definite Articles
(their numbers are on the decrease, you know)

repetition
gets repetitious

Scold
cold
old
gold
?

I think.
I'll leave this incomplete.
